OK, so I have been struggling with good formating for photo slide shows, mixed media, video to present my listings for sale in a variety of online applications, socail media and postings. I think this is a big thing for many Realtors right now.

I finally found a great little photo slide show editing tool, mixing in video is my next step, it also has GREEN SCREEN and mixed media applications. It is low cost and easy enough for 2nd graders to teach me all about it and show me how it is done. They made a cute sample slide show for me about fake homes for sale and even took one of my listing photos off my web site and used it in their sample.

Now, if I can figure out how to post on REOPRO .... and of course the best options are when I can post the slide shows, mixed meadia automatically in multiple great on line social media areas.

I go to classes, seminars, study online stuff for HOW TO. But the secound graders have really taught me something great!

Social Blogging Will Attract The Masses

If you watch teenagers these days they are forever texting each other. I dare not ask what about – but they do spend all day with their fingers on that keypad. Of course I am talking about cell phones and some reports suggest that teens spend more on text messages than on actual calls.Social blogging seems to be the ‘grown up’ form of texting. It certainly has a big following with many of the top web identities having a ‘twitter’ or ‘plurk’ accounts. The difference between texting through a cell phone and social bookmarking is the audience.Cell phone texting is generally one to one. Social blogging is one to many – thousands perhaps for some. Where social blogging is making its mark is in it’s ability to deliver visitors. Twitter allows the ‘twittering’ of posts from blogs via RSS feeds. This becomes an instant message to the world that you have a new post and what the topic is. Those interested can immediately access that post. Is it important? In one way – very! With respect to bloggers, particularly the big namers, getting an early advice on a new post means you can jump in, read the post and leave a comment – at the top of comments. Believe it or not this is important. If your comment is in the first five, every other commenter will most likely read what you have had to say.If your comments are valid there is a good chance they will visit your site. Furthermore, comments near the top are more likely to get a response from the blogger than those lost in the 15 or 20 comments that come afterwards.Social blogging is definitely here to stay. If you can learn to use is effectively you can benefit your site and your reputation.

ABC: Blogging 101

A=Action Your subject line must create action! Think about how you scan material you receive in your inbox or on your screen and how you decide what to spend your time reading. Your subject line must not only communicate your content but compel your potential reader to open.B=Body This is your content information. Keep it as simple and informative as possible. Your personal style will dictate. Some people are more education and teaching directed and others have a way of communicating with humor. Follow your personal style but keep in mind the short attention span we seem to all have when browsing the net. Say or convey and then take your bow and leave.C=Comments This is where you learn if you have conveyed your point. When others respond they provide you feedback and critique. This is your opportunity to evaluate your purpose, interact with others and often gives you food for thought for your next blog!Linda Landry, REALTOR ® Exit Realty 1st Choice Tucson, Arizona

My top 8 New REO Agent Blogs

I get asked a lot about what advice I can give a new REO agent. Many times those conversations revolve around how I can help them get into the business. When this comes up I always stop and ask myself, “Do you think they read your blogs?” and typically the answer is no, they just simply asked me before even trying to get to know who or what I am all about. Well, that brings me to my top 8 blogs for new REO Agents (See Below). If you are a new REO agent and looking to get in this business, instead of just asking straight out, “can you help me get a REO listing”, which…by the way…is a bit presumptive and rude, first read my top 8 Beginner REO Agent blogs below. Once you have read over them and, you still have a question, I would be more than happy to help you. Chances are however, after reading over them, you may find the caliber of your questions will change from a “help me” style question to a “how to” style question and those I am much more comfortable with. 1. http://reopro.ning.com/profiles/blogs/apprenticeship-experience-and 2. http://reopro.ning.com/profiles/blogs/bpos-reos-myth 3. http://reopro.ning.com/profiles/blogs/dont-take-my-word-for-it 4. http://reopro.ning.com/profiles/blogs/importance-of-blogging 5. http://reopro.ning.com/profiles/blogs/2122473:BlogPost:5621 6. http://reopro.ning.com/profiles/blogs/2122473:BlogPost:2345 7. http://reopro.ning.com/profiles/blogs/2122473:BlogPost:1111 8. http://reopro.ning.com/profiles/blogs/2122473:BlogPost:821

Blogs vs. Forums, what is best?

Ok, because i see several of you double posting as well as posting things incorrectly, let me help with a clarification between a Blog and a Forum. Think of a Blog as a news article. When you write a blog it should be informative and written in a similar style as an editorial in a news paper. Think of a Forum as a discussion hub. This is where you can ask a single question or make a general comment and keep a written history of others who comment back. **Don't forget, when writting a blog, it's vital that you propertly categorize it. "Tag" your blog with search words so that others can find it later through the archives. You can find the "Tag" feature at the bottom of the Entry section of the blog. Keep in mind, blogs written on REOPro are submitted to search engines so, if someone is searching "REO" on google, the higher your blog rank, the more likely it will appear on the first page of the search results. If you want to learn more about that, write me back and let me know.
