The kicker is that when I went on the web site to DECLINE it, someone already accepted it.

Agents/Brokers! You are doing this to yourself! Its a shame to be requesting a service like this for $10, but it is a greater shame to actually do the work for $10. If you have no value for your professional skills, knowledge, expertise, time - you have no business to be in this business. We spent thousands of dollars on education, memberships, licensing, and other business associated costs and to allow these companies to treat you like an unskilled laborer is disgusting.

  • They are asking for a property inspection. People do them all the time for $10.00.But now they want expertise. i know people home do 50-100 of these a day.

  • gee i guess someone is using auto accept.

  • I wouldn't leave my desk for 10 dollars

  • negotiate, negotiate, negotiate. Jesse was right when he said this was coming. Some companies have only offered $25-30 for bpos for years. Yes, I did not take any but someone has. This is the same philosophy that the 'end minimum wage' crowd espouses. People are all free to work for less. Question is what happens when the 'less' is not enough to live on. My hope is they are actually getting what they pay for - which is next to nothing two days late in bad grammar.

  • Hey, People, this is America, and Capitalism at it's finest! If someone mistakenly thinks they will get an REO assignment for a $10 AVM, let them take it! Because the sooner they are out of business (and they will be for submitting a faltered product and ultimately losing money on the deal), the sooner the rates will come back up for we professionals who take this business seriously.

  • $10.00- Where do I signup? Gosh, if do 10 a day, that's $100. Jesus - as always - You were so right on back then.

  • I get the same offers from BPO fulfillment, exterior instections from $5-10. I've asked them repeatedly to just drop me if that's all they offer but I still get emails everyday. I just put them on my spam list so they go right to the junk folder.

  • $5 bucks is coming this way if one does not resist $10.

  • That's their business practice, offer it at $10 hoping somebody will take it. I decline every BPO or Mortgage Inspection request from ProTeck and counter with a price. Those $10 inspections are pretty quick, if the subject is within 5 minutes of my office, I counter $30 and they usually assign it to me within an hour or two.

  • Hey Violetta, I blogged about this coming trend about two years ago. Back then, people were calling me crazy and saying things like, no agent would ever accept a $10.00 assignment so, a $10.00 BPO could never happen. Back then, I was telling people they were crazy to keep their heads in the sand. Hate to say it but, it appears I was right.
