  • Do yourself a favor and forget you ever heard BPO.

You will go broke like I nearly.

Now, for some tough love:  Get listings, more listings and more listings or turn in your RE license. There are no short cuts to making a living in RE. BPOs sure as the dickens is not the way to make money.

  • Hello Everyone,

I just got the most unfortunate experience with Bpofulfillment yesterday.  I had appraised two drive by BPO's and completed all the two assignments for them and got to losing my camera at the end of the assignment when I requested to get one additional day to extend the assignment.  I was ready to upload my subject photos on the final day to submit my assignments and I did get granted the additional day but I was given another turnaround time. I answered their email immediately and about ten minutes after the deadline time to upload my photos and got two emails saying they had already assigned my appraisals to other agents and they weren't going to pay me on those BPO's.  I was hollering and giving them in a serious urgent voice manner of fact tone that I was uploading it and not to reject my BPO's online.   I HAVE IT NOW AND UPLOADING IT.  PLEASE, DON'T KICK ME OUT!   But they did and I felt really bad and a loser feeling started coming into my stomach.  This is really stealing deals from me.  Plus they started limiting me on how many appraisals I can accept.  In spite of using third party outsourcing it's still my appraisals!   They just robbed Paul to pay Peter on me.....I do believe that I've done my share of work to witness them steal my work after all that was like stealing a candy from a baby.  Sniff...Sniff.....boo, hoo!!!!  Please let me know if anybody else felt and experienced this from this company within the last month or so.

  • I'm in SoCal and I have seen the BPO workload go from 50 a week to 5 a month. Plus the companies don't want to pay up and it's a struggle just to collect. I don't even bother doing BPOs anymore. The market in my area has turned around enough that people call or email me to list their properties.

If you really want to work for peanuts. Sign up with Realty Pilot. Green River Captial funnels all their work through them. After the monthly fee for Realty Pilot and the $18.50 that GRC pays, you'll find that you'll be better off working some minimum wage job.

    • Sounds like Green River Capital is hurting for business.  I wonder if that is legal for Green River Capital to pay an individual that low a fee for hours of work.  I don't believe the Labor Department would find this acceptable.  Just does not make sense.  Those lenders/service providers really should not give them BPOs to be offered to agents, if they are going to pay agents way below minimum wage.

There are some BPO companies that sold their business or got out, because BPO are slowing down, plus the fact there is really no money in it to make a huge profit.  Watch out for scammers that will feel on Realtors who are anxious.

  • what part of the state do you work?    I dont help people in my neck of the woods for obvious reasons.  Jason

  • All the major companies have presence in CA.  It started slowing down since late April. I checked with lenders. No refin, little heloc. A few inspections requests here and there. One or two loan mods. I got 2 commercials. This allows me to focus on listing business.

I am in No CA in SF Bay.
