What is going on with Altisource, Ocwen listings

It took me three weeks to negotiate a CFK and get the property vacant, now altisource people in India are telling me that I will not be getting the listing!! When the CFK request was sent to me they said that I'll be getting the listing. Does anyone know how Ocwen operates now? I know everything is changing with them but I was wondering if anyone had recently experienced the same thing?!

  • With the listing fee at %3 minus %2 in referal fees, that leaves me with $800 to split between me and my company. Of course, I turned down the listing! They told me they have own company for trash outs, lawn care, etc. When I went to house before turning down listing, Saw it was winterized in March, Lawn was overgrown and trash out had not been done.
  • I regularly recieve listings from Ocwen. But this new system with placing offers on Altisource has been a huge pain. I just listed one and already have a highest and best scenerio. The last 5 properties I have had with them have listed substancially lower than my CMA showed and all have gone to highest and best. It is a new strategy we have been playing with.
  • I wonder if the agents in India will be required to make weekly property inspections?...just askin....LOL I fired them 3 years ago....my normally low blood pressure couldn't take it.
  • I just called 888-876-3372 it’s a voice mail that says they have centralized listing agents for listings is NV, CA and FL but I am in Maryland and Northern Virginia area! It seems like the PIP people have been instructed not give out information about who will gets the listing. I think they are realizing that not all agents won’t do the work and not get the listings so they are playing the mouse and cat game with agents. Unfortunately there are many agents who will do the work because they hope they’ll get something from them. Is there anyone who is not in these 3 states and still not getting their listings?
  • Lisa- I too had a similar experience with Ocwen Listing agent who was located in NV but the property was in Oakland, CA. Not only did he have the property type wrong, but had the property listed for $224K. The property was a townhouse/condo's in the area they were selling for $35K-65K and I had just sold the 2 other townhouse in the back of the property on the same lot for $65K each!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had a Buyer who wanted to purchase this townhouse and I thought it would be fairly easy to explain to the Ocwen Listing agent being that I also list REO's in the area that the Property type was wrong and his List price was way overpriced. His response was, it didn't price my AM did and I can't do anything about it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF. I spent 1 month with back in fourth emails to the LA as it is difficult to get him on the phone and after the property sat for 70 days, it was finally changed to 65K.
  • Thanks Lisa. The sad thing is that the individual who placed the CFK order acted as I was getting the listing. I think they know that people won't continue doing the work and not get the listing. I rather put my energy somewhere else that gives me the listing and appreciates my hard work. There are certain things that can never be replaced with technology and I think Ocwen is trying to replace local expertise with technology and distance decision making and it will cost them in the long run.
  • I believe Ocwen has been holding their REO listings while they transition to their own listing system. It was announced several months ago (maybe a year?) that Ocwen would be taking over all of their REO properties and selling them through their own department. However, in my market (Denver, CO) I've seen several coming onto the market over just the last couple of weeks. The listings are held by one out of state brokerage that does all Ocwen properties. Its a royal pain to set showings and offers are submitted online. If you check out the forums, I'm sure you can find more information. I'd imagine that they'll need local agents to do bpos and CFK, however after you go through all the work you won't be getting the listings.

One of the listings I showed last week was listed as a single family detached home and priced accordingly. However, upon arriving the property is actually a duplex and is in a commercial area, not residential. The "listing agent' had no idea. Oh my...
  • I used to do BPOs for them in 07/08 and then the BPOs stopped coming on 09. I was told the same thing about listings in CA...that they had their own broker for these listings.

Randomly in 09, I got a listing. It had been a year since my last BPO for them. I have no idea why I got it but I did so I ran with it and successfully closed it.

I have not heard aword from them since until they changed their BPO system around recently and I am now getting BPO requests daily.
  • I recently received a reply from OCWEN when I asked to join them as a vendor. They stated they had "their own" department and would not be needing anyone else!
  • Nothing new as what you just have said on the begining of your posting as "people in India". I have done in the past some BPO with Ocwen and expected to get some listing which I have never seen anyway. Nothing definite as I know but they are operating in India using one broker license somewhere not by my office anyway. Even they are operating differently now, where are the feedback of a better cooperation?
