It looks as if times are desperate for all trying to nickel and dime us, now its Equator. I typically paid about $65 dollars a month for ZIP codes today I woke up to $511 a month for the same Zip codes. As you can imagine I was not the only one caught by surprise. Contacting support at 9:13AM eastern time I'm still in line for support number 138, 2 hours later. So check your equator bill this morning.

  • After joining, taking their course and paying for a couple years without a contact from anybody I let them go, I will generate my own leads, I see these changes as a sign they are not on good financial ground

  • Don't say we did not warn you.  Here is a DIY instructions as they say we got to do it ourselves.

    Equator new pricing strategy
Just curious what you all think of this. Equator jumping on bandwagon to charge realtors more money for their zip codes. Listing agents seem to conti…
  • I get REO assignments for different areas just based on having a relationship with the asset management company. The zip code purchase is just to showcase you to other asset companies that don't know or use you yet. So existing assignments have nothing to do with Zip code purchase, it's based on the relationship with asset management company. I sometimes have to turn down assignments because I don't service certain areas that they are sending me stuff for. This however was last year, this year things have been slow my previous post asked if the REO industry had finally died.
  • I just got off the Chat Session with Michelle she told me my bill went to this horrible amount due the fact my areas which are only 5 zips are expensive. If I cancel asset managers will not see me so I asked how come for 6 years they never saw me. I just cancelled my areas I can see a shadow inventory in this State for sure, we became #1 in Foreclosures and #1 in exiting the state

  • Yes I was on too long yesterday now I am going to try again what is the story ????????? I was #98 Ok now I know I am not alone.

  • We are upset with the changes too.  Our bill went from $150 a month to almost $800.  I just want to make sure I'm correct.  We don't have to list zip codes to get properties, right?  We have many established clients that send us properties through Equator.  Do we need to be subscribed to any "lead" zip codes to maintain our current clients?  Really, all the zip codes will do is advertise for new clients, correct?  Thanks for all the information.

  • I too made several attempts to contact Equator yesterday and finally reached someone. I never received the E-mail they said they sent regarding the change in pricing.  If I had, I would have dropped all my Zips prior to June 1st. They finally sent the pricing change E-mail to me while I was on the phone with them yesterday. I had been paying $15 per month for 10 zip codes that went to $102 for June. I was also told that I would not receive a refund, but all zip codes were cancelled beginning in July. Yes, even my office zip code that was free before is no longer free. I have not managed any REOs through Equator in almost a year and a half. If the zip codes I had been paying for were actually producing results, that would be one thing. I too am very disappointed in Equator having also been with them since the REOTrans days.

  • There is a warning discussion in Discussions from last week.

  • Yes they are the old kids on the block with a new game to make money since they are in slow mode. Screw the people that made you is the new model for them.

  • I jumped on this forum just to see if anyone else got caught off guard....  did they really do that with no advance warning?
