Just got a BPO interior request, when I called because the email said payment is $0, I was told that agents agree to do BPO's for them for free in order to get listings.
Does anyone have any experience with this?

From my experience I would not do BPO's for free. You can request normal fees on the USRES site. Although you could get listings, I've seen multiple account holders process upwards to 100 free orders before getting a listing or two, or nothing at all. In my opinion, better to stick with fee based BPO's off the mill or free BPO's only if you're already assigned the listing.

Thanks, those were my thoughts. One or two freebies is fine if I am guaranteed the listing(s), but the idea that my time isn't valuable doesn't sit well with me.

Hold firm at $100 and be ready to walk away. Depending on the area, they may not have a lot of agents doing free BPOs and will have to pay someone.
thanks for the tip!
Absolutely not and I say run!
