This is a sensitive subject for some...How many real estate brokers are in pre-foreclosure themselves? How many have been there before and had no idea how they were getting out? I ask because everyday we go out and do our job right? Well, we have a very emotional job! It hurts seeing GOOD people loose their homes. So... your thoughts on this matter?

  • I too have done quite a few BPOs for homes that we owned by other agents. I remember when the market changed considerably in 2007 there were quite a few homes on the MLS that had "owner is a licensed real estate agent" in the remarks field. First I saw them as regular sales......then they would transition to short sales and eventually they would be listed by another agent as a foreclosure.

Sad but its the reality of the beast. I knew some agents who had 10-15 homes under option arm loans. A disaster in the making.
  • I have done a number of BPO's on homes owned by realtors. It's always weird when that happens.
  • Getting a bit personal aren't you? I don't think anyone in their right mind would post this kind of information over the internet.
