We all have seen posts on the asset management companies that are difficult and even BPO companies that are slow or no payers......but what about listing your favorite asset management companies and why the are your favorites.

Here is mine: AHMSI/Power REO because the majority of their asset managers are quick to respond and we have established good, strong working relationships.  They also use FAS for all the utility payments which used to be so time consuming to pay and bill for reimbursement then track reimbursements.  So Hurray for AHMSI

Let's hear it, who is your favorite and why.

  • Hi Linda, I know AHMSI is not taking new agents right now but how to you get on their list? You may email at leahwatson@realtracs.com, much appreciation.
    • Have you checked out the Asset Management Company list on this site?  It is from Nicole Ocean's site and vhas a lot of contacts.
    • Hi Leah,

There is no waiting or sign up list area.  Sorry.....  I am not sure when or if they will reopen it or not as they have not been accepting new agents for quite some time now.

  • I guess everything is relavent.  I worked with these guys for about a year.  Then they decided they needed to reduce their broker count and pulled the plug.  No notice it was coming, just an email saying "we're cancelling our agreement.  At that point I only had two listings left.  One was under contract and the other had only been on the market a couple of weeks.  They did allow me to close the one but pulled the other.
  • Believe it or not, my favorite USED to be Ocwen...loved them! Now I don't even want to do their bpo's. I don't really have a favorite per say, but my AM's I work with right now are awesome! Every one of them. I had a few bad ones at Ocwen but I think that was partly the language barrier.
    • I have one listing with Ocwen presently. Had total lack of communication for over 2 months.

I couldn't even figure out who the asset manager was. Only when I submitted an offer did I get an email saying he was the new asset manager. 3 months overpriced. Also I hate that to get reimbursed for expenses I have to pay a processing fee. BPO fees are a joke. $45? I don't even reply.

  • I'm still new to REO as of last year but my foot's in the door. I can't stress a favorite...but I will say the one who provide me the assignments that day is my favorite that day. (smile)
    • Brent: I'm looking to get my foot in the door...how did you do that?  Any recommendations?  I've been pretty successful w/o doing REO's/BPO's but the lack of seller emotion in that market is somewhat appealing to me.

      Thanks.

  • Thanks Gary & Jared, for your input.  Gary is correct, AHMSI/Power REO has not accepted new agents for quite some time.

I agree, FAS has really made huge improvements this year!

I do not get the email notifications when new posts are added anymore, so sorry to be so long in responding.

    • I agree.  PAS has been very good to  me.
