Has anybody had any experience with this company?  I am looking to grow my REO an Short Sale business and their website seems to promise just that.

It looks like REO Agent University and Short Sale Agent Institute combined to become Distress Sale University.  I am very skeptical about paying the $3998 without any feedback on the program.  I have searched the web and can't find any reviews on it.  Anybody taken the program or know someone who has?

  • I don't agree with Miguel Garcia recommendation of www.harrisrealestateuniversity.com. I signed up with them and to tell you the truth I got better training at my local board for $49.00 plus received DRE credits. 12 months to earn your REO Specialist Designation is not true because they are not sanction by any DRE requirements. They are a company that calls themselves coach. All the information was repeated over and over again because they add new students each week. Listen to their calls on Fridays and notice it's the same agents over and over again. One of the agents is local her and the numbers they quote are far off from what is on the MLS. You can even hear it in the voice when you listen to the interviewer states your doing six almost seven figures now right? The answer is “not quite!”
Long time ago their was a challenge by the LA Times to Robert G Allen to prove his theory from his book which he did. I would like to see the numbers of these so called experts to prove what they are saying.
Long time ago I worked for one of those infomercial no money down guys! They promised money back guarantee for six months. After being in business for 4 months in So California he went BK and walk with millions. Plus the information was not legal in California.
$3998 is a lot of money with what guarantee? And as you see with is a guarantee really worth?

    • WOW, that was some great information. You are discussing exactly what I am trying to avoid. I have purchased other lists, etc. and they all have the same information on them. I can complete a bpo quickly and accurately so I don't need the assistance on that end. I am just running into problems getting in touch with the correct AM to get more REO listings. I will keep looking because $3998 is A LOT of money.
  • Spending $4000 would cause me much "Distress." There's a reason why they probably changed their name. I wouldn't spend the money, never heard of them.

If you're just starting out, and you're looking for training, I would do default school. Some companies require that you take their courses, so hopefully, you'll learn something and will already have met their requirements.
    • Thanks for the help. I really appreciate all the info.
  • Holy Cow!! All I have to say is spend it on Default School (RDCPro) and advertising for short sale listings. Good luck!!
  • That sounds way to High Priced...$4,000 can buy a lot of training. You might want to check out The Five Star Institute. There is $50 off reg price courses ($295) for BPO & REO if you order by Feb 2.
Its my understanding they are pretty reputable and very well known. I"ve been thinking about signing up for a couple of the classes myself. They offer a Advanced BPO and also a Getting Started for BPO & REO. They also have some good size conferences throughout the year that I have heard good things about.
    • thanks for the tips, I thought $4000 buys a lot of training also. I will check out the Five Star Institute.
  • Never hear of them and I think that price is too high. I started with much less than that.
