BSI Financial contacted me to do a short sale for them this past week. I had never heard of them before but apparently they work with several banks to streamline the short sale process. I contacted the seller that they sent me and he was expecting my call. They are asking me to complete a generic BPO and then they will get the bank to approve my price and I will get a listing agreement shortly there after. Has anyone worked with them? Any input would be appreciated.

BSI is a specialty servicer and likely has the authority from the investor to approve the short sales, or has guidelines.
How did i go with BSI? I went to the REOCON event early this year and I won the REO drawing and am supposed to receive an asset from them soon.
Hi Jim, It went well. It was much much better than a regular short sale. It did take awhile between the time of the assignment/bpo and when I got the listing agreement. But once I recieved it and put it on the MLS, we got an offer within a week and closed about 2 and half weeks later.
What lender was it APPROVING in 2.5 weeks?
That would be record for short sale process!
Hi Sandi,
Have you received any more asignements from them?
No I didnt sign up for them directly, but I have put my name out there on short sale networks and that is where they got my info. I will let you all know how it goes. Thanks Rose..
I'd be curious to know which short sale networks Sandi.
Did you ever apply to do short sales for them?-- I would probably do it and see what happens- their online presence looks pretty good..... although, Ive had no direct professional contact w/ them.....
Good Luck- looks like a pretty good opportunity!
Warm Regards, Rose
