www.ebrokerhouse.com user for appx 1 year now- what do I think? should you try it?

I have been using ebrokerhouse for about a year now based on my husband attending a CREOBA conference. He really liked the option of managing our offers since agents were sending them left and right to my email, his email, office offers email, fax, efax. They were coming out of everywhere and some were not even found. So we decided to go to an offer management system and the low cost of ebrokerhouse seemed attractive over the REOMaestro prices.

It worked well in our offer management system, we could view and respond to all agents, have our assistants notify the rejected offers quickly and input additional lender required information. We could now locate where all offers went. Locating lockbox combonations was made easier. And my bookkeeper had a great time managing the PGE and other billing. The customer service wasn't bad because they would call us to find out about our input. (I don't know if they ever applied it. )

BUT we found a few flaws: 1. You could not sort the property page. So if you entered a property 20 properties ago, you had to slowly go through all pages to locate it. 2. The weblink we listed on our mls for agents to submit offers often times was too lengthy that agents cut and pasted not enough of the link and took them to wrong pages and they would call and not know what to do. 3. Agents seemed to not understand the way to upload offers (this was most part on the other party for their passive approach to new technology) but that caused agents to call and be frustrated and send offers to all our emails or fax- again diminishing the point of having this offer management system.

Although the system helped us manage our pipeline, I really felt that it seemed archaic and lacked the 2010 technology to it. They definitely need to update the functions. But I am still an ebrokerhouse user - I think it's due to my passive approach to change too.

  • I LOVE EBrokerhouse!! We have been using it with great success. Thomas has always gone above and beyond the call of duty to switch things up that "bother" us. The search for property thing I use all the time, and has really been helpful. I find ebrokerhouse a great solutiion as it keeps us organized and paperless. I investigated all the other systems available out there. What I prefer about Ebrokerhouse is the hands on approach. They are MORE than willing to listen to any and all suggestions. The program is not as overwhelming as TAZA and easy for all the staff on our team to use. I couldn't have made a better choice.
  • thanks for the feedback, i still don't see how to sort. perhaps tom you or your reps can assist? As for the links, I just thought it was pretty long and sometimes we would run out of space on our mls. If there is no way to fix it that was just what was happening with agents cutting and pasting and would miss parts of it. Just my opinion on the website
  • Thanks for you feedback Tammy. Let me address some of your comments that I put in Bold.

    1. You could not sort the property page. So if you entered a property 20 properties ago, you had to slowly go through all pages to locate it.

This is just not true. You can sort your properties by many different options.

    2. The weblink we listed on our mls for agents to submit offers often times was too lengthy that agents cut and pasted not enough of the link and took them to wrong pages and they would call and not know what to do.

Im not even sure where to start here. If a a buyers agent cannot properly copy and paste a web link I am not sure how this is our fault. Many MLS systems allow hperlinks, but i understand some do not, so copy and paste is needed. Copy and paste is about the simplest function one could don on a computer so again, I'm not sure how this is is on us. Also, the links really aren't that long, but in any event, there are several easy ways around this if you feel the links are too long to copy and paste.

One would be to utilize Tiny Url or a similar service and just shrink the link before entering it into the mls. Or, as you may know, you are provided with a "hard" link that lists all of your properties available for offers on one page. Many agents just make this page with all of their listings part of their website and send agents there to submit offer. So you could send them to goldenproperty.net/submit_offers or something like that. Or just tell them to visit your website and have a link that says Submit Offers Here.

Honestly I have never once heard the link was too long from a member or an agent submitting an offer before, but hopefully the above solutions can help you.

    3. Agents seemed to not understand the way to upload offers (this was most part on the other party for their passive approach to new technology) but that caused agents to call and be frustrated and send offers to all our emails or fax- again diminishing the point of having this offer management system.

Our system really is very simple to use, but I do understand that some agents fight technology for whatever reason. This is unavoidable. But these are becoming fewer and fewer as people learn that our system is actually easier and more efficient than fax or email. Actually sending an offer through our system is almost exactly like attaching an offer to an email and sending it that way for the buyers agent, but much better for you. Fax machines are becoming outdated, but obviously its a smart back up to receive offers from those without scanners or that can't figure out how to upload a file. Also, we handle almost all customer support from buyers agents that have any issues using the system as well. Since it goes through EBH, most agents call us instead of the list agent with any issue and we walk them through it.

Have you read through this forum discussion here on REO Pro: http://reopro.ning.com/forum/topics/amp-vs-taza-vs-ebrokerhouse. I think you will see that the #1 feature agents love about EBH is our offer submission for its ease of use.

Anyway, call us if you have any specific questions we can help you with.
  • Take a look at TAZA REO it is 2010 and beyond. If I had a bigger team I would use it exclusively.
  • There are many, many changes to this program that you might want to explore. I have the search capabilities and use it just fine. After a year and a growing pipeline, I will continue to use it and other programs to handle my inventory.
