Hi Martina,
No, I have never heard of a bank stating outright that a short sale takes a minimum 6 months. That sounds completely false, especially if you are approved for HAFA. All I can really tell you is that you need to work up your chain of command at Flagstar or maybe even speak with the foreclosure attorny direct.
