Who knows "Team Lear" as asset management company: I received a call today from an Asset Management Company "Teamlear" from Colorado. The spokes person, Ms. Jordan claim she is the asset Manager, that she wants me to do BPO for her company and that all the BPO's l do will result in REO which l will be listing for them. She furher said that she will be requesting me to deposit $400 for the home maintanace, a one time fee. Then l will pay $54.00 for the software to use for their program. I do not belief her, but has anyone heard about this company or did any business with them? I know am not paying any money to them.

Are they fraud or real? They have a website: www.teamlear.com

  • Everyone need to write their Area VP and complain about this. NAR need to get their fraud department to notify every member of NAR about this scam. I have written but only one Realtor doesnot bring it to their atention

  • Out of Colorado - stay away, seems like all the scam companies go to Colorado.  Why pay for work when you can sign up with BPO Companies that are legit for Free

  • We all need to write NAR. They have a fraud section. They need to help educate the other Realtors about this and other scams. The Colorado AG does nothing. They may actually be out of Illinois

  • RUNAWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN. They cheated me out of almost $900. THey claim to have the right to list a REO but do not. I have never found anyone that received a REO listing

  • They are a huge scam, hang up on them next time they call. They start asking weird questions on the phone, like how many properties have you sold in the year, etc, which is not the norm for most asset management companies. They will go through great lengths to keep pursuing you. I don't even think they have any real assets, they just pick out addresses in the area and have you drive to them. Most of them don't look distressed.

  • File a complaint with the Colorado Attorney General. They got to me also. They need to go to jail. They are not legit.

  • I feel bad Richard. Your hard earned money just taken by the scammers. We need to do something about this fraudulent people. Can our National Association of Realtors do anything to help?

Please make suggestions - what to do about the fraudulent company pretending to be REO companies,

     and taking our associate money.

    • People:  You need to report these scams to your Attorney General, your Board of Realtors, NAR and your state association.  You cannot let these people take your money and run.  It will take a few phone calls and statements from you, but the Attorney Generals of each state have an obligation to protect people from being scammed.  I would think your local association and state association would be of help too.  Maybe NAR...

  • They are NOT good. They do not have the right to list the property. They took $898 from me. RUN as fast as you can away from them.

  • Scam to get your $400.00,  walk away.  Be leery of any BPO company in Colarado
