NAR, marketing and coaching companies have been pushing agents hard to get on these social media sites.I have been on both for a while now and have pulled a lot of value out of Facebook by connecting with friends, family and old classmates. It is great to let these people know you're in real estate.I have pulled zero value out of Twitter. I get at least 30 people following me everyday and 30 out of 30 are real estate agents or marketing companies. It seems like Twitter has been taken over by people trying to capitalize and make a buck. I love it for sharing my random rants with my close friends but the hostile takeover of businesses using it has ruined it for me as a business tool. Is anyone actually using it that isn't using it for business? If I want to connect with other agents, I'll go on ActiveRain. It is also ridiculously hard to follow a conversation on Twitter vs. Facebook. I love how Facebook threads the conversations. Twitter makes me see @ symbols in my sleep. What are your thoughts?
