    • IAS Does not pay anything. The owe me $1800 dollars and my contractor $1300 for a trash out.I filed with BBB and they did not reply.I am Going to put lein on property

    • IAS is a joke.  I have complained to the BBB in Denver and the reply was you will be paid but we can't tell you when.  I called and spoke with someone in accounts payable and they said "we are changing things around and I do not know who is in charge."  I finally got to John Burnett who is the COO who promised to pay me after I sent him the invoices.  He gave me his direct phone number 303-729-1860 and his direct email jburnett@iaservices.com and said he would personally take care of my bills.  That was on May 2, 2013.  I still have not been paid and he does not answer my emails or telephone messages.  This firm has no honor.  Good luck getting paid.  I worked with them for 5 years and never had a problem until 2 years ago.

      • I did one BPO for IAS back in Feb and have never been paid. I have called, left message, sent an online request and no response.  I am lucky that is was just one BPO that I did and have never been called again.

    • If you can, put a mechanic lien on the property

      • It's sold and I think you have to apply mechanic lien within 60 days.

        • I would try looking it up and calling the county recorders office to see what the new rules are now. With some many changes and escrows taking so long to close and recordings are usually behind these days, its possible you might have time to do it still.

  • That's why I don't respond to those BPO inventions.  I'm not a discount BPO vendor. I work real hard on my reports, research not just the local MLS boards but half a dozen others to find unethical "pocket listings" currently on the rise. Though, $17.50 to me  is an insult.  Now if, they were to guarantee in writing the listing to you, then that would be different and be a reason to do just a quick drive photo inspection with no detail report to submit. But have noticed others who will try to get you to accept lower rates but I just won't and let someone else take it, not worth the time and trouble.  Their forms are getting longer and they are asking questions that a certified appraiser should be answering. The ones that I do get paid $50 or more, in some of the area's on the BPO I will just recommend to seek additional in depth reports by hiring a certified appraisal report.  Though, I did not know that CA was formally CM, good to know that. Thx for the info.

  • I just spent a lot of time doing one for First American.  La Shanda didn't like my results so she changed my comps and subject and value then Jennifer said it was all wrong and I wouldn't be paid for it.  I find it very hard to get paid for these and I've never been offered more than $50.  It really isn't worth the time.  I don't believe BPO's should be allowed.

    • I agree with Antionette. Corelogic used to be 1st American and they have always been fantastic. 1st American has a new spinoff company, FAAVS. Any company associated with 1st American is usually great to work with, but although I have been approved with them, I still need to send a couple of docs. I hope they are going to be good to work with, like Corelogic.
