They are requesting a $399 sign-up fee plus take a class for approval.  They have partnered with ServiceLink.  Any thoughts on these guys?  Has anyone had any experience with them?

It looks like they are managing Citi assets and maybe others.

      • Instead Rose, you should spend that $500 on a short sale cruise of some sorts in October...

At least that way you can say that you got some fun and sun in return, and got to hang out with some connections who you knew would already be sending you listings either way!

I hear there is a good one leaving out of Tampa... LOL...

You guys know where I stand on stuff. While we charge a small annual fee, we deliver MORE than what we promise if anything. Experience is everything is my motto as well, which is why we pretty much give away our training and make it 100% optional.

I was disgusted at the REO Expo a couple months ago at what I saw.

I think I also got blacklisted...

I butted heads pretty hard with a guy from PartnerFirst over on my forum!
  • Personally----- I believe all the major players, realtor boards, software creators, and teaching institutions watched us ALL spend a ton of money chasing our "carrots" over the last 1 + yrs ( particularly at the start of the moratorium), We believed all the offers and promises because we wanted tooooo..... and we've been played.... All of them are "businesses" in it to make money anyway they can......
    Its shamefull....
Myself?...... I feel abused and even my realtor board got on the bandwagon and is now sending me classes to certify me in "staging homes for sale"..... "how to use a blackberry" and even .."Green" realtor certification.... com'on now...huh???. the whole industry has turned against us.... and now feeding on us.....
We really need to remember that our experience can't be bought or learned in some 8 hr course...... It is earned........ if someone tells me I don't understand something, now, take this class, and we'll believe you, you'll be a pro.... bull*^#@.....I am already a pro.....and what I don't know.... I know where to get it.... no certification makes you a pro.... it only means you have another pc. of paper.......
The lenders are now a gamble. Reo's are a roulette game that we no longer have any say in......
I feel that I am signed up with a few major players that know me and thats it...,even so...I KNOW those companies will gladly bleed me if I allow it.............
My company is turning around... based on my ability and alot of research on my part--- not someones PROMISE.... Ouch--- I think I let my "nasty" out.....
    • I agree with you Rose (and Gary). I was hoping that NAR would have stepped in and actually initiated movements to end the gouging of their membership. I hope they understand that the more fees we pay to become aligned with the assignments of assets the less money we have to support the local, state AND national realtor boards. It common sense that doesnt seem so common. It would be ideal if relationships for credentialling were outlined so us as agents could send more time doing what we do which is pleasing our clients and less time worrying about the small stuff. Being out of pocket for all of these memberships and credentials is ridiculous.
  • I'm skeptical about this program. I signed up with Servicelink's Vision Sale program last year and it didn't result in short sale listings. This looks like they are doing the same thing just with another vendor.
    • I too paid Servicelink's Vision Sale and did not receive anything. I do get Servicelink REO's though
  • I registered with them and got approved, and moved forward to the 2nd step. After I registered and got approved, I started getting calls from them and have been getting emails to take the certification and then pay and upgrade to 7 zip codes. So now I am a "premium" agent. The training was exceptional with Jacob Swodek but still waiting for the next step....Bring it baby!
    • So from May until now did you get any return on your time and money?
    • Mark, just curious...have you gotten any referrals from this company??? Thanks.
  • But with all of the active agents in the short sale and REO industry on THIS site, you would think SOMEBODY had received something from them. I mean, I don't have all that big of an organization, and on my first post, first day on this site there was an agent or two who gave testimonials about The Short Sale Specialist Network who had experience working with us...

  • Why would Servicelink partner with a company that was not legit. My REO assets come from Servicelink both on their website and Equator. I called and talked to Servicelink about it they said it was legit. ????
