Ocwen BPO's

Has anyone been doing any BPO's or CMA's for Ocwen lately. A couple of agents in our office were getting several orders for quite some time, and now the last four weeks or so, we haven't seen hardly any offers. Anyone else seeing this situation?

  • Here is where you sign up to Ocwen/Altisource

  • Elias,

I have many clients who confuse the E and O requirement that ocwen has- you DON'T have to name them as a loss payee- You have to ADD them as a certificate holder...meaning if your policy has a claim or canceled Ocwen is notified thats it- you can literally have your agent get that amended in 24 hours for them- and Yes Ocwen is now certifying agents every year- Yes they have an in-house company in India...lol... and basically you list the property and give them a "referral fee"

  • You have to update your profile as they added to their vendor requirements.  Now you have to have OCWEN on your E & O insurance.  I used to get listings & BPOs & CMAs but not anymore.  All the listings went to their in house RE company, RSSNET RE.  I do occasional BPOs & CMAs for them if they will pay me $60-90 depending on location.

  • I am experiencing the same thing but from the Ocwen take over of AHMSI/Power-REO/Homeward,  I had spoken to several of my AMs and they said they thought they were keeping their jobs and it would be business as usual.  There was no notice sent out from Ocwen like there was with the GMAC take over.  There was a notice sent to all from Homeward, but I have seen nor heard anything further.

Has anyone else received assets to manage from Ocwen?  Not just BPO orders, but properties to work and market?

    • I have received some leasing properties from Ocwen.  They are starting in my area to clean up the properties and put them on the market for leasing.  I completed all their required courses and had my first rent valuation.  I was worried because I haven't received the BPO orders I was getting but now I see they are restructuring.  I don't use the MLS systems and they did offer me a short sale to list but I could not accept it because I am not MLS.  I don't have any need to the huge expense our local MLS system charges.  I have been a real Estate Broker for over 40 years and am not in the listing and selling market.

      • What is the link for the courses for rent valuation?

  • Me too, I was getting at least 4 per day now nothing.  Getting worried.  What is up with them?

  • I knew something was up.  I've been getting a couple of phone calls or direct emails a week this month from Altisource with requests for BPOs and my fee.  The only blasts have been the very rare CMAs

  • It has slowed down a bit this week..  I work for several companies and two weeks ago there were a whole slew of orders.  Goodman Dean received over 2000.
