Mark To Market

Has anyone had problems getting paid by Mark To market ? It has been 3 months and I have not received pay for BPO's I have done dating back to Feb and March. I have contacted them and have been told that 1.  checks would be sent out soon.2. The were merged with another company and have not gotten their payment system straightened. 3. Will have an account in the Jacksonville office (last week). and various other delaying replies. I am in Central Florida.

I may be the only one having this problem. They still sent out BPO's , but no pay. I hope they are no going the way of evalonline. They were a good company to work for.

Thanks for your replies.

  • I have been doing BPO's for Mark to Market and they have paid me on all of them.

They seem to have changed their system and they are VERY slow to pay .... expect 90 days!

  • Thanks everyone for your responses.

I was promised that I would have partial payment mailed on June 28.  I will keep everyone posted. It is Sunday,  June 30th. M2M is in Jacksonville, Fla and I am in New Smyrna Beach , Fla. Should not take snail mail too long if they did mail check.

  • I'm a vendor for them but never completed a BPO for them in years. So no feedback there. Best bet to go to HREU (Harris Real Estate University) they have all the insights and last I heard Mark to Market was paying good and on time with no issues, but again, I never had the opportunity to complete so don't know which way on this one. Sorry. Hope everything turns out good for you!

  • Hello, I am new here, but I am happy for this forum.  I had done BPOs for years before they were generally known.  I worked for 3-4 big companies and never had trouble with payments.  Until Evalonline stopped paying.  I could not believe it.  I had done many BPOs and no check.  I called, and they were giving me different answers, sending me from extension to extension.  Then, I went online and discovered that many agents were in the same situation all over the country.  I got so discouraged and afraid that I stopped doing them all together.  I followed some of the tips given by other agents.  I persisted so much that they sent me partial payment.  The rest of them ...since 2010...they still owe me that money, I got exhausted trying to recover it. I am one more who worked for many hours, even week-ends and late evenings for nothing.  I have recently started doing some work for LPS.  Does any of you do work for them? How is it going for you?

    • LPS-LSI are a good company so far, I've been completing BPO's and even have direct deposit. They pay 15-30 days and no issues ever with them. Great account that you should really take care of. I've earned good money being a vendor with them. just be on top with your pending payments and you should be ok.

      • I've done a handful for LSI the past couple of months. They started out at $42  drive by and I said no, they increased to $50 but I noticed they increased more information. They offered me $70 for an interior.  I feel this is too low. Are these the fees you are accepting ?. However they  pay in 3 weeks.

  • Yes, I did about 5 several months ago and oddly was recently paid for two but at different times. I am sure they owe me for at least three.  Not like Im made of money and dont care but its hard to track whats owed by the different companies and have to chase them around.  And by the way,,,evalonline got me for over $700!! They continued to order even after the filing date on their bankruptcy

    • Here's the email I sent M2M -

      What the hell happened.

First there was Delaware and I got paid every 15th or so for the previous month.

Then I do one BPO and get a check from Texas.

Then M2M calls with an order and says they are in Florida. And this Chris has a Florida address. What is going on?

Did M2M sell out? To who? Are they just incompetent and can't run a business or are they crooks? And where was evalonline located? Any new connection there?

      • This is what I received from M2M -

        Hey Marvin,

MSI has been around for 30 years.  They are into the P&P, hazard claims, home inspections, trash outs, etc.   M2M relocated from Frederick, MD to Jax, FL in October, the same time we merged with MSI.  Our vendor payables moved to Dallas, TX(MSI location) and they were going to handle all our accounting.  The accounting platforms did not match, causing 13K errors in our accounting.  When the powers to be found out this happened, they immediately stop processing payments and moved payables back to Jax and hired an accountant to handle all M2M payables.   This is what caused the issues in M2M payments going from 30 to 90 days in some cases.   Where we stand now, is all orders for Mid March through April have been processed and mailed  as of this past Friday.  Accounting processed May’s orders on 6/3.  So it is getting better but we are not where our agents have always expected us to be.  If you have any invoices from Mid-March to April.  You will be receiving that check this week.  I hope this clears up what is going on but I promise it is nothing more than that.  We are not in any kind of trouble. MSI is a well-respected company and this is going to be good for our agents.  If you have any more questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.

        Chris

        • Thanks Marvin.
