Hi,
Below is a email I received from Vendor Operations. Help, can somebody give me a clue to who internal Fannie Mae representative is and or contacts? I am guessing is direct from Fannie. Thank you in advance for your help.
Thank you for contacting eSourcing. Completing the registration process through Frictionless SRM (SAP) is not an approval process. It notifies Fannie Mae that you are interested in becoming a vendor. The on boarding process is initiated when an internal Fannie Mae Business Representative contacts a vendor directly as a result of a need in a specific coverage area. If a vendor successfully completes the on boarding process, the vendor is issued a Fannie Mae vendor identification number that begins with the letters TR. Currently, you do not have a Fannie Mae vendor identification number.
Sincerely,
Vendor Operations

The advice that I can offer is:
(1) Keep your application updated, this you can do with the SAP program
(2) Keep trying to get in with the outsourcers for Fannie so that you can.familiarize yourself with FNMA's guidelines, keywords and standard, this can be VERY HELPFUL, when it comes time for your FNMA interview.
(3) Make FNMA one of many applications for REO business
Good Luck,
Mike L.
Any advice on preparing yourself for the interview?
Once you have been selected to be a direct Broker with Fannie, a Fannie Mae Business Rep will be assigned to you, depending on which one is handling your service area, at that point in time. That is when you'll will be given the Master Listing Agreement, along with additional paperwork to get on boarded.
But, first things first, you've gotten thru the application process. It took me all of 3 or 4 years to get selected to be Direct. Hopefully, it won't take you as long but there is no short cut, it is all based on a business decision built on needs of the business.
Susan is right in saying, get busy applying to as many FNMA outsourcers (Green River, Keystone etc.) as possible, that way you can get familiar with FNMA's guidelines, keywords and standards and believe me there are MANY! This way you are sort of hand held through the process
Good Luck,
Mike L.
