Has anyone heard or done business with Cartus Broker Services? They are requiring a $50 non-refundable app fee to sign up with them and I'm just curious before I give my money away.

I dealt w "Cartus Asset Recovery" out of Danbury CT as a 3rd party negotiator for PHH mortgage on some FNMA short sales. They were far from responsive as they lost me at least 3 out of 4 sales. They require paperwork to be faxed, then when their fax system isn't working, they'll take it by email. Even when you fax them things, they'll say they don't have it until you tell them you have proof of the fax and then they'll look for it again and find it.
PHH and Cartus are associated with private label lenders such as Century 21 and Remax. Cartus was the relocation company.
Still it could be a good opportunity. 50 bucks isn't bad.

Byron, can you be a little more specific as to why I shouldn't?
