As a public forum, REOPro is provided immunity from the actions and or comments of our individual users. It is important that our site foster an uninhibited marketplace of ideas and foster competition in the market. We are an important place for people to speak and listen as users employ our service to engage in first amendment rights.
This same law also offers a legal shield to bloggers who host comments on their blogs. Under this law, bloggers are not liable for the comments left by their readers, the work of guest bloggers or information they receive via RSS feeds.
As such, all users of REOPro have agreed to our Terms of Service which claim these protections and make it clear that REOPro will not engage in dispute resolution of a content providers blog post or replies.
REOProNetwork.com has over 18,000 members, nationwide ranging from real estate agents to bank executives, all of whom specialize in the niche REO real estate industry. We do not actively monitor every blog, every reply, every comment, or every post. As such, it is important that every member understand their rights, protections, and liability when it comes to defamation, slander and libel laws.
If you believe you or your business is a victim of a user’s defamatory post, comments or replies, feel free to reach out to us however, please understand that we will not remediate any dispute between you and the alleged perpetrator.
