Agent says No Thank You to REOPro Lead.

No joke, I was actually told, “no thank you” by a Agent who I offered a lead to.

So, here is what happened.

As many of you know, I have been looking for some agents to work some leads we got in from our investor.

These leads are as hot as they come. Basically a buyer / seller searching online comes across the investor website and ask to be referred to a local agent who will provide them a FREE CMA on a home they want to buy or sell. REOPro then turns around, and distributes the lead, manages the lead and helps it get to closing. We don’t get paid otherwise.

Well, we had no one in RealtyPilot (the REOPro platform) that worked this zip code so I searched the REOPro.NING sit. I found an agent, called him up, offered him the lead and he actually said that he was tired of paying for things he would never use and declined to take the lead.

Just so you know, the lead wrote in the comments section of her application for assistance, “I want to list and sell my home

Now, here is what chaps my cheeks. To get the lead, all he will be out is the $30.00 a month from RealtyPilot…that’s it. In fact, once he is done working the lead, he can cancel his subscription, it’s not like RealtyPilot has long term contract but, he was so oblivious to who I was, to who REOPro was, to who RealtyPilot was, to the nature of the REOPro / RealtyPilot alliance, he complete lost a great opportunity.

Now, here I am, with a lead….a seller, which is as hot as they come and no one from my network to work the lead. Now I have to go to REORedbook, search through the database and hopefully get myself a agent for a handout!

Honestly, I should have known better to call this guy. He had zero blogs, zero forums, zero comments and his profile didn’t even have his website, phone number or contact information.

Why is it, I have to go and find agents when I have leads to give out? Don’t tell me it’s because you have to pay for the technology platform. If its that much of a cost for you, cancel when you don’t want to use it. This way, you’re only out the $30.00 a month when you actually have a lead to work however, understand…….I am not going to go out looking for you each time I have a lead, I provide those people in RealtyPilot the first opportunity.

  • Jesse I went to REO convention in Feb 2013 and signed up for RealtyPilot then I have been happy with them I use them to complete my BPOs. If you have anything in Jacksonville Florida let me know. I am confident I will here from you soon we are picking up here. That agent doesn't know what they are missing!

  • yup, i am broke with all the fees to join and no return.
  • Let me know if you have any on the 78 Corridor in NJ and PA--I will gladly join--right now I belong to so many it is like everyone wants money and there isn't much coming in--but if I get a lead I will gladly join in
  • Hi Hugo.

I have been sending out those emails you have been receiving for specific zip codes.

    REOPro gives out the leads.

Once you get the lead, you will find the referral form that will need to be completed and that is the lines we are talking about.
  • Jesse we work the same areas and I bet you want ever see any one of us turning down a lead! That's absurd!!!!
  • I have been getting e-mails asking for an agent in a specific zip code? How does this work? I just registered to realtypilot. Who gives the leads? any member of REOPro? REOpro? The e-mail also says about signing lines? Where is that form on realty pilot?
    Thanks..
    I'll appreciate the answer....
  • It never ceases to amaze me why some folks are on forums like this and pass up helping out another agent in need. Sad commentary on agents today. I had an agent in Miami shoot me an e-mail to see if I could help him out by contacting an owner in Tampa that an investor needed to get in touch with. I was happy to help him out. He offered a trip fee, I declined. Made two trips out and found the person and got him the contact number he needed, thus saving the investor potentially a big foreclosure bill. They had wanted to see about going deed in lieu of, and hope it worked for them. This gave me a contact in the South Florida. Good will come back to you to Jesse, even though you hit on an un grateful agent, keep working the forum.
  • You won't see me turning down any leads!
  • I know Jesse and REOPro and also have many certifications however, I am reluctant to post in forum's since I worry I am going to post in the wrong place or if it has been posted before. I also know some people that just signed up for REOPRO and still don't even know what it is. I would like everyone to get more familiar with the chat screen down at the bottom of this screen ;) And btw, I love this group!
  • Hey Michael,

You know, we are most likely going to require a certification to get an assignment. I know alot of people are out there complaining, "I am sick of paying for this training, that training." but, the reality is, I go to know....and I mean really know.....are you capable before I can give you a listing. Each individual agents success is directly tied to mine and my company so, as a famous super model of the world always says, "DON'T F*CK IT UP!"

Now, does having a cert or designation mean your a great Realtor....or course not but, at least it does mean you should know something.

Just so you and whoever else reads this, it's for this very reason that when Excellen announced who got in and who didn't, they only selected agents with REO experience....it really is that important, especially for us AMC's because our reputation and ability to bring in business is based on how well we can recruit and maintain quality agents.
