I've been reading your very candid and thoughtful blogs. You're very right about many things. I joined real estate in June/2012. I got intrigued by REO and started assisting an REO agent in my brokerage. I got tired of layers of split, earning peanuts running around with no time for my family. I decided to do it on my own. I got turned down over and over because " I was too later into the game" I have the drive and the ambition. It's like bringing the goodies to the party and expecting to have a good time, only to find that the party is over! Fortunately, I got a client. Then I start to sweat with the cash funding the contractors for repairs.REO is tough and I really don't understand why some realtors would tolerate low commission and let the abuse in the industry continue!
