New Online REO Web Site - GoHoming.com

All,GoHoming.com is a new online auction web site for REO properties. It is owned by Altisource Portfolio Solutions which was spun off by Ocwen Financial Corporation. As such, it has lots of inventory and lots of relationships. Its sister site, http://www.altisourcehomes.com can help listing agents acquire REO property listings from owners and the GoHoming site http://www.gohoming.com will eventually reward listing agents to auction their REO listings via online auction.

  • It may help listing agents acquire listings, Hmmm maybe one agent per state?? or states?? it has been the worst experience for me and my buyers. the property hadnt been trashed out, the door was unlocked when we arrived. the 800# is outsourced in India. The agents messages is, dont expect me to call you back right away because i get 150 calls per day. Well geez he has 250 listings, and according to the mls he has only one other person in his agency.
My buyers have had a bid into this property for 2 weeks and so far no acceptance. It just communicating with a website, how personal is that? We are continueing to look for other properties, but maybe we'll get lucky and get an acceptance.
Im just afraid of what comes after that?
There is nothing worse than know that a company is outsourcing to another country, especially when our country is in such an economic mess. I just saw that Harley Davidson is outsourcing in India today too.I hope to never ever come across another Altisource listing again.
    • Hi, Roseanne

I am going through the same thing as well. After submitting a cash offer for an REO property to the listing brokerage and hearing nothing for over a week. I was finally able to get through to someone only to be told that "we don't handle the offers you have to submit through gohoming.com" Okay, great, well why not put that in the MLS Agent Remarks section? Anyway, I submit the offer and I was notified last week that it was accepted by seller and that an addendum would be forthcoming within 24 hours and needed to be returned within 24 hours. So, today, I follow up with gohoming about the still not yet received addendum only to be told that the listing office will send it to me. I call the listing office only to be told that Altisource will send the addendum...So, in the meantime the Buyer and I are in limbo. Oh yeah, and the listing office doesn't know who the earnest money should be payable to either...Hopefully this gets resolved soon.
