  • Somehow, I feel that Wilfred isn't the person I think he is. His answers seem...copied and canned. Sorry, but my gut feeling is going wild.
  • Wilfred, Let me know what information you need to get you started in the USA. I am in Los Angeles California. You can contact me at rdlawler@netzero.net Richard Lawler
  • Good luck, Wilfred, real estate is a very tough business to break into and it will take 2 to 3 years to get established - I would recommend starting with a large franchise company or a company that provides a lot of training and support. Very few agents make any money their very first year.
    • Thank you Cindy I really appreciate your advise and I will like to do business with you in your region. You can send me an email or leave me with your contact details to reach you personally.

      Thank you.

  • I'm going to take a quick stab at this but Wilfred do you have an idea of what part of real estate you want to practice in? And you will need to decide which state you want as each state has different rules and regulations for licensing. Are you looking work for a brokerage? Most states require a licensed person to work for a broker for 2 to 5 years before they can even apply to take the broker exam. Then if you are a citizen of another Country, you have to worry about Visa's or work permits, then citizenship.

Real Estate is a very complex business to start. It's going to require extensive research, decision making, classroom time..... and money before you ever get to put that first yard sign out. There are so many different fields in this profession that most people specialize in only one or two. You are going to have to give us a lot more information before anyone here can help you. Good Luck!

  • Thank you Carlos for your response. Regarding your question, I'll be willing to start in any of the states, so this is why I'm in need of someone to guide and work with me. I'll be grateful if anyone can work with me, this is why I'm happy for this kind of opportunity here.

Hoping to get your prompt advise on this issue.

    Thanks once more.
